This project is a design for a single family residence on a steep slope in the west hills of Portland. It sought to emphasize the nature of the site by embedding itself within the hill as the spaces climb up the slope. The house seeks to coexist with the natural landscape and the views to the east of the city and Mt. Hood beyond by incorporating numerous indoor-outdoor relationships and extensive patios.
